Anna Kiger

Anna J. Kiger currently serves as the Vice President of Patient Care Services and corporate Chief Nursing officer at the corporate offices in Dallas, Texas. As Chief Nursing Officer, she is responsible for ensuring that the highest possible standards of professional nursing practice and clinical effectiveness are achieved. In support of Tenet’s Commitment to Quality, she is responsible for the development and execution of a nursing leadership strategy that will ensure that patients’ care is safe, of high quality, effective and efficient and is delivered with compassion and respect.

Prior to becoming the VP PCS & CNO, Anna served as the interim VP PCS & CNO as well as the Senior Director of Patient Care Services for the Southern State and Philadelphia Regions. She began her career with Tenet in 1999 when she became the Regional Director of Clinical Quality Improvement (RDCQI) for the New Orleans Market hospitals. Anna received a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, a Doctor of Science in Public Health (DSc.) from Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, a Master’s of Science in Nursing Administration (MSN) from Duquesne University, a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Averett University, and an undergraduate degree in nursing from West Virginia University.   In addition to Anna’s academic achievements, she is also a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Nursing Administration (JONA) as well as an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) where she is a member of the Patient Safety & Quality Committee.

Sylvain Trepanier

Senior Director

Sylvain (Syl) Trepanier is the California Regional Senior Director, Patient Care Services for Tenet Healthcare Corporation in Dallas Texas. Prior to his appointment as a Senior Director, he was the Chief Nursing Officer at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center and North Shore Medical Center from 2004 until 2008. Dr. Trepanier currently serves on Tenet’s National Nursing Executive Council, Patient Safety Sub-Committee, Falls Prevention Committee (Chair), Quality Summit Planning Committee and National CNO Summit. He has experience leading quality improvement studies such as falls and bedside shift report. Dr. Trepanier is a member of the American Organization of Nursing Executive (AONE) since 2007 and has been appointed on AONE’s Health Care Reform Task Force. He is also a member of AONE’s Nurse Leader Advisory Council. He is a member of the American Nurses Association, a member of the Texas Nurses Association and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Montreal Canada and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC), Anita Thigpen Perry School of Nursing where he was awarded the Dean’s Nursing Excellence Award.

Michael Basinger

Regional Senior Director

Michael Basinger joined the corporate offices in July 2011. In his role at Tenet, Michael will be responsible for the development of initiatives to improve recruitment and retention, clinical quality, professional nursing practice and nursing leadership in all Tenet facilities.

Prior to joining Tenet, Michael had over 8 years of experience as a Chief Nursing Officer in large for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Michael graduated from Tulane University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). He is also a 2010 Johnson & Johnson Wharton Fellow in Management for Nurse Executives.  Michael holds professional certifications as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC) and as a critical care nurse (CCRN).  He is an active member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the American College of healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Alana McGolrick

Director, Perinatal Services

In 2009 Alana joined the Patient Care Services Department as director of perinatal services. Alana’s focus will be with improving the care that is provided to the perinatal patient population through the dissemination of evidence-based practice tools and on-site education and mentorship.

Anthony Quintero

Manager
Centers of Excellence

Anthony is responsible for coordinating efforts between payers, other accrediting organizations and hospitals in achieving and maintaining premium designations. Anthony is the coordinator for the California hospitals’ participation in the California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Taskforce (CHART) in addition to serving as the co-chairperson for the Corporate Forms Committee.

Cindy L. Larkin-James

Senior Director
Measurement Systems & Strategy

Cindy is the senior director for measurement systems and strategy in Patient Care Services for Tenet Healthcare. She is responsible for vendor selection, contract negotiation, questionnaire design, survey implementation and reporting of Tenet’s employee, patient and physician satisfaction survey results. Before joining Tenet in 1993, Cindy worked as a program analyst for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections where she designed and implemented surveys for various divisions.

Janet Reha

Director
Measurement Systems

Janet is the director, measurement systems in the Patient Care Services department for Tenet Healthcare. She is responsible for assisting the senior director of measurement system and strategy in decision support analysis around the development and implementation of patient care services initiatives, recently including patient, employee and physician satisfaction surveys. Prior to her current position, Janet was a senior analyst for three years with the corporate Human Resources department working in Recruitment and Retention. Before joining Tenet in 2000, Janet worked as the senior financial analyst for two large managed care companies in the Dallas area and as an underwriter for a company specializing in managed behavioral health and employee assistance programs.

Julie Hilsenbeck

Patient Care Services

Julie Hilsenbeck, RN, DNS, CNRN has over 25 years of experience in a variety of roles and settings. Her clinical experience includes trauma, cardiac and neuroscience. Dr. Hilsenbeck’s administrative and leadership positions have included manager, director, clinical specialist, Chief Nursing Officer and Corporate Senior Director. She is currently Senior Director of Patient Care Services for Tenet Healthcare. Julie is chair of the Nurse Advisory Team for the Impact Project and a member of the Nurse Executive Council. She supports our facilities through development and implementation of initiatives to improve professional practice and quality, including facility level shared governance. She is responsible for leading the Nurse Executive Shared Governance initiative. Dr. Hilsenbeck is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Sigma Theta Tau and AONE. She is published in neuroscience.
